Tasting notes from March, 2015

Very attractive, compact racy, pure Bordeaux nose with lucious fruit showing mocca aromas, nice depth and bright berry aromas.

Rich, fruit-generous, stoney and distinct taste with hints of graphite and blackberry from large doses of firm and intense Cabernet as well as sweet Merlot fruit in a tight but balanced acidic frame.

Marvelous, young and very well-behaved Graves made from 53 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 42 % Merlot and 5 % Petit Verdot from a very opulent and inviting year. This lovely effort from one of the best properties in the area is seamlessly crafted and will offer lots of drinking pleasure for all lovers of great Bordreaux. Enjoy it 2017-2027

Tasting notes from August, 2015

Still big and forward on the nose with wide generous dark berry fruit and affluent generous Cabernet/ Merlot character on the pallet, including the typically stoney Graves mouthfeel. It finishes off with very attractive fruit acidic bite and long velvety tannins.
Very harmonious and typical for the appellation as well as the vintage.
Enjoy it 2017-2027.

2006 Meursault Premier Cru, Le Poruzot Dessus (Remi Jobard)            (Jun 2015)

Impressive, delicate and superbly elegant Meursault nose with layers of nuts, almonds, minerals and deep complex fruit, all swept in a touch of oak.

Extremely well-tailored, multi-dimensional taste with hints of citrus, nuts, ripe apples, rounded off with a long lingering bright finish.

A brilliant and racy Meursault, one of the best that the talented Remi Jobard has ever made. A very noble Chardonnay show with a complete set of lovely aromas produced from excellent Premier Cru terroir. Simply superb fruit in persistent and vibrant acidic structure. Enjoy it 2016-2020.

2004 Gran Vino de Arinzano (Julian Chivite)                                               (Sep 2015)

Tasting notes from November, 2015

Lovely, smooth, dense nose with nice depth of fruit, light vanilla touch and traces of terroir and leather!

Very attractive, solid taste with ripe, wide fruit, hints of dark chocolate and black olives. Long, firm finish.

Successfully maturing, well-built and very typical Navarra Pago wine from one of the most beautiful vineyards in the world. It features nicely tamed abundant fruit in professional oak management by the untireable Julian Chivite in cooperation with star Bordeaux winemaker Dennis Dubordieux. The combo of full and earthy Tempranillo tones and super-intense but gentle aftertaste makes it a joy to experience. Enjoy it 2016-2020.
